Doyle Winford Riley, age 78, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2015, at his home in Lone Grove, Okla., surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, December 29, 2015, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore Okla., with Rev. Gary Gunsolus officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Grove Cemetery, Lone Grove, Okla.
Doyle was born on February 10, 1937, to Bert Lee Riley and Velma Pose (Hicks) Riley at Alfalfa, Okla. He attended and graduated from Whittier High Schools in Whittier CA. He married Miss Laverna June McEntire on August 6, 1955, at Montebello, California. They had sixty wonderful years together. Doyle worked as a laboratory tech in the oil refinery industry and retired from Total (now Valero) Refinery in 1999. He loved to play the piano and he collected and restored old vehicles. Doyle loved God above all else. He loved his family and he was a good husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Velma Riley, brother, Royce Lee Riley, and half-sister, Diana Miller.
Doyle is survived by his wife, June Riley, of the home, daughters: Brenda Shelton and husband, Donnie, of Iowa Park, Texas, and Patty Howard and husband, Dickie Charles, of Lone Grove, Okla., and son: Michael Riley and wife, Anita, of Era, Texas. Four grandchildren: Dr. Christen Shelton, Steven Tudor, J.D., and wife, Alissa, Marli Riley and partner, Jesse Berry, and Randy Riley. Three great-grandchildren: Addison Tudor, Sovie Tudor, and Lexi Davis. Two step-granddaughters and their husbands and four step-great-grandchildren. Step-mother, Nina Riley, brother, Haskell Riley and wife, Mary, all of Las Vegas, Nevada, and half-sister, Beverly Teichgraeber, of Reno, Nevada. Brother-in-law, Doyle McEntire, and wife, Betty of Springfield, Missouri, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Riley, Dickie Charles Howard, Donnie Shelton, Dr. Christen Shelton, Steven Tudor, J.D., and Jesse Berry.
