Obituary of Charles Ray Henry

Charles Ray “Chuck” Henry, age 55, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, January 9, 2017, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest with interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore, Okla. The Reverend Merritt Youngdeer will officiate.
Charles was born at Dallas, Texas, on October 2, 1961, to Grady Charles Henry and Faye (Taylor) Henry. He attended and graduated from Ardmore High School in the Class of 1979. Charles became a truck driver for The Coca-Cola Company, for Day Concrete, and for Tri’Mac, driving gravel and sand trucks. He had an accident that forced him into early retirement. He was a passionate sports fan and loved watching his OU football. Charles will be remembered for his ability to make people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his father, Grady Charles Henry, special uncle who was like a father, Frank Henry, two sons: Brandon Henry and Brent Charles Henry, three brothers: Milton Ray Henry Sr., Franklin Henry, and Hanson Henry, granddaughter, Schloe Henry, and grandparents: Charley Taylor and Betsy Johnson.
Charles is survived by his mother, Faye Taylor, children: Chad Henry and wife, Renee, Alex Yargee, and Charlene Henry and husband, Freddie Bellard, two sisters: Janet Henry and Stephanie Allen, and brothers: Bryant Henry and Carey Daniel. Seven granddaughters: Kaprell, Brandica, Kambrea, Taleah, Nykia, Kemya, and Aubre,e and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Henry, Randy Taylor, Chris Morales, David Taylor, Glenn James, and Mike Joe.
Wake services will be held on Sunday evening, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, January 8, 2017, at Griffin ~Hillcrest Funeral Home.
