Obituary of Danny Lee Ezell, Sr.

Danny Lee Ezell, Sr., age 66, passed away on January 10, 2017, at Ardmore, Okla. A memorial service, under the direction of his family, will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 13, 2017, at Northwest Baptist Church of Ardmore with Pastor Jim Huggins to officiate. Danny was born on August 22, 1950, to Willie Bolinger Ezell and Lucille (Steele) Ezell, in Oklahoma City, Okla. He attended and graduated from Carl Albert High School in Oklahoma City, Okla. He married Alice Barton at Ardmore, Okla. in 1969. The couple traveled throughout Texas and Oklahoma. After that marriage ended he moved to Ardmore in 1982. He worked as the custodian for the Carter County Court House and later for Plainview schools. Danny will be remembered as a passionate Sooner Fan and he supported the Dallas Cowboys. He collected model cars for many years and spent his free time watching his favorite old western movies. He was preceded in death by his parents. Danny is survived by his sons; Danny Ezell, Jr. and wife, Renee, of Ardmore, Okla., and David Ezell and wife, Misti, of Dickson, Okla., daughter; Tammy Huey and husband, Craig, of Ardmore, Okla., fourteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, two brothers; Gary Salazar and Larry Ezell, and two sisters; Mary Ezell and Rosie Ezell. Cremation under the care of Griffin ~ Hillcrest Crematory, Ardmore, Okla.
