Obituary of Buddy Allen Mitchell

Buddy Allen Mitchell, age 46, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Stroud, Okla.  Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 12, 2017, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest with interment following at Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore.

Buddy was born on November 8, 1970, at Ardmore, Okla., to Louis Ray “Buddy” Mitchell and Margie (Bell) Mitchell.  He was raised in Ardmore and graduated from Dickson High School. He hauled hay for his brother-in-law, Mike, during high school. After graduation from high school, he moved to Maud, Okla., and then to Ada, Okla., and worked for Solo-Cup. Buddy married Miss Angela Morrow and they had three children: Madison, Jarett, and Brea. He returned to Ardmore and went to work for Solitaire Homes in Madill, Okla., and then for Michelin for fourteen years and also took a job working in construction contracting. Buddy enjoyed fishing, boating, working on old cars, and coaching his son, Jarett, in sports when he was younger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Margie Mitchell, sisters: Deborah Kay Mitchell and Debbie Rae Rodriguez, and brother, Buddy Dean Mitchell.

Buddy is survived by his children: Madison Mitchell of Casselberry, Florida, Jarett Mitchell, of Mill Creek, Okla., and Brea Mitchell of Mill Creek. The mother of his children, Angela Morrow. Brothers: Rocky Mitchell of Ardmore, and Robbie Mitchell and wife, Robin, of Comanche, Okla., and sisters: Kathy Wagoner and husband, Bobby, of Lone Grove, Okla., Vickie Lyle and husband, Mike, of Ringling, Okla., Tammy Wylie and husband, Ricky, of Comanche, Robin Mitchell and fiancé, Billie Carter, of Tishomingo, Okla., and Tabitha Mitchell of Lone Grove. Companion in love, Wendy Clock.

Nieces: Brandy Black and husband, Cody, and Holly Mason and husband, Marcus, numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Hekia, Brandon Lyle, Brett Lyle, Aaron Lyle, Jimmy Swader and Rocky Mitchell, Jr. Honorary bearers will be Bobby Steudeman, Michael Cook, Cody Black, Lonnie Smith, and Tommy Miller.

Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, May 11, 2017, at Griffin~Hillcrest.
