Obituary of Ignacio Vasquez Cordova
Ignacio “Nacho” Vasquez Cordova, age 56, passed away on May 21, 2017, at Ardmore, Okla. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, May 26, 2017, in Enville Cemetery, Enville, Okla. with Pastor Jorge Gutierrez officiating.
Ignacio was born on July 31, 1960, to Esteban Cordova and Maria Elaina (Vasquez) Cordova in San Rafeal, Veracruz, Mexico. Nacho moved to the United States in 1988 to live in Ardmore. He married Miss Delores Berry on September 12, 1991 in Marietta, Okla. He took a position with Judy Parsons as a landscaper and worked for her for 20 plus years. He was an avid collector of Hot Wheels cars. Working in Gods dirt was one his favorite things. He loved planting flowers and his peppers. When he wasn’t outside, he spent his time watching his westerns. He loved to dance and enjoy life. He will be remembered for bribing his grandchildren in to singing for him with the payment of a dollar. They were the center of his world.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Ignacio is survived by his mother, Maria Elaina V. Cordova, of San Rafeal, Veracruz, Mexico, wife, Delores of the home, Four children, Anna Gabriel Cordova of Veracruz, Patricia Gutierrez and husband, Francisco, Cecilia Gutierrez and husband, Jorge and Jesse Molina and wife, Kristin, all of Ardmore, Okla., thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one on the way, four brothers, three sisters and a host of family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Griffin~Hillcrest.
