Obituary of Beulah "Faye" Hammer Leis

Beulah “Faye” Hammer Leis, of Ardmore, passed away on October 25, 2017 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Monday, October 30, 2017 at Griffin-Hillcrest. With Pastor Terry Tolbert to officiate.  Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
 
B. Faye was born in Berwyn, Oklahoma to Ira and Artie Hammer on November 3, 1928.  She attended school at Berwyn and graduated from Dickson High School. In 1949, she married Kenneth J. Leis in Gainesville, Texas.
 
B. Faye is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Kenneth, her parents Ira and Artie, brothers Vernon and Daniel “Jack”, sisters Cleo and Jewel, her twin Raye Delcore, and Lawan Kemp . 
 
B. Faye is survived by daughters Kenna Leis Elles and husband Bob Elles, and Christi Leis Frederick and husband Chris Frederick, sister Jowan, twin to Lawan, grandchildren D’Leisa Graves, Julie McClure, Luana and Alessia Antuono, and great grandchildren, Sydney Jae Graves and Connor McClure (who shares Faye’s birthdate), as well by her special friend, Marvin Thomas.
 
Pallbearers will be Brett Mathews, Scott Mathews, Chris Frederick, Randy Graves, Charles McClure and Bob Elles.  Honorary pallbearers will be James Harris, Bobby Jo Hammer and Gary Mathews.
 
Visitation will be 2:00pm – 4:00pm, Sunday, October 29 at Griffin-Hillcrest funeral home, 1610 C St. SE.
 
 The family of B. Faye Leis would like to extend its appreciation to all the trauma physicians, nurses and staff of United Regional Health Center in Wichita Falls, Texas.
