Obituary of Steven Greg Dixon

Steven Greg Dixon, age 51, passed away on June 30, 2018, in Ardmore, Okla. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, July 6, 2018, in Provence Cemetery with Pastor Terry Tolbert officiating.

Steven was born in Duncan, Okla. on September 1, 1966, to Nelson Clark Dixon Sr. and Letha Fern (Gray) Dixon. The family moved to Wilson, Okla. where he was a graduate of Wilson High School Class of 1984. He married Terri Skelton in January 6, 1987 in Ringling Okla. He worked for various company work in the oilfield industry until he was forced into retirement due to an injury. He was the go to guy in the family and for anyone that would ask him, he was able to fix anything and was the family’s shade tree mechanic. Steven loved being outdoors and would go Arrowhead hunting, fishing and camping in his spare time. He enjoyed spending time with his family any chance he got.   

He was preceded in death by his father, Nelson Clark Dixon Sr., grandson, Adyn Lemley and son-in-law, Trevor Lemley.

Steven is survived by his wife, Terri Dixon, of the home, mother, Letha Parker of Ardmore, Okla., two daughters, Courtney Lemley of the home and Ashley Pedigo and husband Justin of Loco, Okla., two sons, Steven Wayne Dixon and wife Destiny of the home and Christopher Scott Dixon. Six grandchildren, Kristin, Darrell, Easton, Layla, Ashtin, Zoe’ and Memory. Three brothers; Nelson Dixon Jr. of Ardmore, David Wayne Dixon of Farmersville TX., and Jacky Dixon of Lone Grove, Okla. and one sister, Amanda Dixon of TX., and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Griffin ~ Hillcrest.
