Margie’s grandson, Kevan Coe McBride, writes, “This morning Heaven received a beautiful angel… My Granny. The good Lord called her home. Please keep me and my family in your prayers. I tried my best to make sure she was happy while she was here. She was one of the strongest women I knew. She was born in Ardmore, Okla., on March 28, 1922. Living through what Meme had to go through up until now, She was a trooper for sure. She saw things we have never seen, things we have never been through. I hope she knew how much I love and cared for her. If you all know me, she was my rock. Meme helped build me to grow into who I am today. Rest in peace, Meme. Love Kevan.”
Margie also leaves her daughter, Connie McBride, who writes, “To Mom, thank you for loving me. You taught me about Jesus and took me to church. You were kind, and dedicated to being the best Mom you could be. Your example was always being honest, kind, and to be caring of others. You spent your years on our farm and ranch with Dad and me, taking care of us first, and yourself second. Your cooking was fabulous. Some of your favorite things were your chickens, garden, and fishing in our ponds. Then Jesus called you to Heaven. Your Grandson, Kevan McBride, was by your side. Your last breath was on Earth, but your next breath was in Heaven. John 3:16. Thank God, I had a praying Mother. Your daughter, Connie.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, William Vernon Caswell.
Margie is survived by her daughter, Connie McBride Caswell, grandsons: Scott McBride and wife, Lenzi, and Kevan McBride, and several great-grandchildren. Special nieces; Paulette Smith and husband, Sammy, and Lula Pierce. Special friends; Red and Patsy Thetford, and Pat Brooks.
