Obituary of Dorislene (Mose) Morgan
Dorislene (Mose) Morgan, age 66, passed away on Saturday November 24, 2018 at Ada, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday November 29, 2018 at The Chickasaw Nation Community Center of Ardmore with The Reverend Vincent Baptiste officiating. Interment to follow at McMillan Cemetery, McMillan, Okla.
Dorislene was born in Ardmore, Okla., on September 30, 1952 to Dorsey Mose and Anita (Palmer) Mose. She attended Lebanon Schools and later Madill Schools, where she graduated in the Class of 1970. Dorislene earned her Associate’s Degree from Murray State College. She continued her education at Okmulgee Tech in Culinary Arts. While attending, she represented the school in a beauty pageant and won. Following her time in school, Dorislene worked at the Little Brownie Cookie Factory. In 1992, she went to work for the Chickasaw Nation and was there for over twenty-six years. In her youth, she loved playing softball and later in life she supported her children and grandchildren in the sport. Dorislene was a believer in the Bible and a true Christian. She enjoyed attending Chihowa Baptist Church. She loved to lift her voice to the Lord and to travel to anywhere she could to attend church singings. Dorislene will be remembered for her joyful personality and big heart; she always had a smile for friends and strangers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorsey Mose and Anita (Palmer) Mose, and brother, Kenneth Eugene Mose.
Dorislene is survived by her sons: Kenny Morgan and wife, Victoria of Ada, Todd Morgan of Ardmore, and daughter, Kristi Morgan of Ardmore. Ten grandchildren: Jason Morgan, Josie Morgan, Elias Morgan, Everley Hamilton-Morgan all of Ada, Marc Sampson, Samara Morgan, Tyicee Nguyen, Tames Nguyen, Kaine Nguyen all of Ardmore, and Isaac Jennings, of Broken Arrow. Brothers: James Mose and wife, Roberta, of Madill, and Don Mose of Lone Grove, sisters: Shirley Mose of Edmond, and Christine Lewis of Lone Grove. Aunts: Lina Pickens of McMillan and Sallie Palmer of Ardmore.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Shannon Mose, Coby Lewis, Leslie Mose, Chad Lewis, Ethan Martinez, and Pedro Molina. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Re-entry Program.
Wake services will be held on Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm, November 28, 2018, at The Chickasaw Nation Community Center of Ardmore.
