Obituary of Steve Thompson Jr.

Steve Thompson Jr., passed away on July 16, 2016, at Lexington, Okla. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 pm, Friday, July 29, 2016, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore, Okla. Steve was born on November 13, 1947 to Jesse Bass Thompson and Myrtle Frances (Farmer) Thompson in Ardmore, Okla. Steve attended Carter Seminary Schools and later Jefferson Elementary School. He loved working with his hands, always working odd jobs moving furniture, making deliveries and mowing lawns. He loved being around people and making friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse B. Thompson and Myrtle Frances Patton, sister, Jessie Louise Davenport, and one brother, Charles E. Thompson. Steve was survived by his daughters; Caron Beach and husband, Daniel, and Stephanie Thompson, sisters; Vurner “Cheetah” Townsend, and husband, Bill Townsend all of Ardmore, Okla., Marion Richards, of Durant, Okla., Bobbie Fowler, and husband, Jimmy, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
