Obituary of William Luther Gibson

William “Buck” Luther Gibson, age 84, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016, at his home in Ardmore, Okla. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 1, 2016, at Newport Cemetery, Lone Grove, Okla.
Buck was born on August 24, 1932, to Samuel Luther Gibson and Ruffie (Gold) Gibson at Ardmore, Okla. He attended Dickson Schools. Buck was self-employed most his life as a landscaper and truck driver but was best known for owning Buck’s Small Engine Repair. Buck married Ruthie Odell Jack in September of 1978 in Ardmore, Okla. In his youth, he enjoyed fishing, but later he enjoyed getting out and driving on the back road of the lake.
Buck is survived by his children, Brenda Brown, Mary Blankenship and husband, Terry, Linda Haynes and husband, Doyle, all of Stratford, Okla., William “Bucky” Gibson and wife, Sherry, of Ardmore, Okla., Joyce Brown of Stratford, and Jackie Gibson of Ardmore, Okla. Ten grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 30, 2016, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home.
