Obituary of Amber Rayshon Cantley

Amber Rayshon Cantley, age 26, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, in Ardmore, Okla. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Durwood Cemetery with The Reverend Stan Shomo officiating.
Amber was born to Ambus Cantley and JoAnna (Baptiste) Cantley, on December 11, 1994, at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla. Her family moved to Ardmore, Okla., in 2005, where she attended Ardmore High School and was a proud graduate with the Class of 2014. She worked in housekeeping at Lakeland Manor from 2016 to the present time. Amber was talented and skilled in many ways, she was talented with a pen and pencil, as she loved to draw and write. She also loved to dance and listen to music whenever she could get a chance. She collected stuffed animals, wolf and turtle figurines, and movies. Amber was a shy yet caring person and she was always taking care of someone else before taking care of herself. Her efforts in making everyone smile will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Troy Cantley, and Lonzo and Gloria Baptiste, uncles, William Baptiste and Randy Taylor, and aunt, Tracy Garcia.
Amber is survived by her parents, Ambus Ray and JoAnna Gail (Baptiste) Cantley, of Ardmore, siblings, Matthew Caleb and Serita Nykole Cantley, of Ardmore, grandmother, Virginia Harris, of Ardmore, aunts, Rose West, and husband, Dana, of Concho, Okla., Regina Lott, of Ardmore, Barbara Cantley, and husband, Brian, of Ardmore, Tena Cantley, of Ardmore, Barbara Berry, of Chicago, Illinois, and Cynthia Pickens, of Ardmore, uncles, Larry Harris, Johnny Harris, and Troy Harris, all of Ardmore, and Robert Cantley, and wife, Lakeisha Thompson, of Oklahoma City, Okla., great-aunts, Myrtle Chotkey, of Oklahoma City, Serena Wilmond, and husband, Marcus, of Ardmore, and Stella Baptiste, and partner, Allie Franklin, of Calumet, Okla. Numerous cousins and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday evening, January 18, 2021, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home.
