I was just informed today that Ramona had passed away. I was deeply saddened to learn of her passing. I spent today reflecting about Ramona and the joy that she brought to me and to so many.
Ramona and I graduated together from Lone Grove High School in 1983. Ramona was one of my best friends in high school. She and I were in the marching band together and we had so many fun times practicing on the football field and participating in the band together. Ramona was always happy and smiling, and her joy was contagious. I have so many fond memories of Ramona from high school.
I want to extend my condolences to Ramona’s family. Although I didn’t know Ramona’s husband, children or grandchildren, I knew her parents and J.T. My life was enriched by Ramona’s friendship and I am so grateful that I had the privilege to know her.
