Obituary of Anson Paul Williams

Anson Paul Williams, age 38, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022, in Richland Hills, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, January 20, 2022, in the Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest with The Reverend Jeremy Scott officiating. Interment to follow in Nelda Cemetery. Anson was born in Oklahoma City, Okla. on February 3, 1983, to Carter Williams and Joyce Ann (Thomas) Williams. He attended Dickson Schools and was the Manager on Duty at the Gold Mountain Casino. Anson was a member of Durwood Baptist Church. He liked to play fantasy football and enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, riding his four-wheeler and traveling. He will be remembered for being kindhearted and humble. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carter and Joyce Ann Williams, and brother, Richard Vann Williams. Anson is survived by his uncle, Bobby Gene Thomas, aunt, Luella Thomas, and aunt, Liza Thomas, all of Ardmore, Okla., and numerous cousins from both sides of the family. Prayer services will be 6:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday, January19, 2022 in the Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home with The Reverend Tody Taylor officiating. Casket bearers will be; Kendon Day, Steven Mose, Christian Tubbee, Robert Walker, Jeremiah Hamilton, and Joe Harris. Honorary bearers will be; Shay King, and the employees of Gold Mountain Casino.
