Obituary of Patricia Ann (Stracner) West

Patricia Ann (Stracner) West, age 84, passed away on July 10, 2022, in Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Thursday, July 14, 2022, at New Hope Church of God, Ardmore, Okla. with Pastor Robert Peterson officiating. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Patricia was born in Ardmore, Okla. on July 20, 1937, to Henry Stracner and Velma (Clark) Stracner. She attended and graduated from Ardmore High School with the class of 1955. Patricia married Charles Lee West in Ardmore, Okla. on March 31, 1956. She was a homemaker until her children were older and then she went to work for Ardmore City Schools, where she worked in administration for 30 years, retiring in 1990. She will be remembered for sewing, collecting thimbles and her cooking. She started her membership with Lighthouse Assembly of God Church and continued going when it became New Hope Church of God and was a strong prayer warrior. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles West, and son, Marlin Dale West. Patricia is survived by her son, Charles Dewayne “Rusty” West, two daughters, Marcia Gentry and husband, Randy, Teresa Crook, and husband, Alan, five grandchildren, Tori Crook Conway, and husband Blake, Trace Crook, Colby Inselman, Christina West and Nicole West and three great-grandchildren, Case Inselman, Landon Inselman and Bentley Conway, brother, Mike Stracner, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends, and best sister/friend, Norma West. Pallbearers will be; Colby Inselman, Trace Crook, Blake Conway, Kenny Faustner, Bill Wallis, and Glenn Smith. A visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home.
