Nora Christine Houldson, age 58, passed away on April 13, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 18, 2023, in the Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home with Pastor Donny Custar officiating. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Nora was born in Tishomingo, Okla. on September 15, 1964, to Daniel Allen Parker and Betty Jo (Brown) Parker. She attended and graduated from Tishomingo High School with the class of 1982. Nora went on to attend Murray State College and then in 1991 she married Donnie Norris. The couple lived in Tishomingo, where she worked at the Murray State College cafeteria, the Quick Mart and then Dollar Bills Convenient Store in Wapanucka. After her husband passed in 2004, she met William Houldson II in 2005 and they moved to Ardmore, Okla. She married William on May 1, 2010, in Ardmore, Okla. Nora worked at Ponders until it closed and for a short time at Jimmys Egg. She worked for Classic Cleaner until she moved to Rockford Cleaner, where she has worked since.
Nora loved to knit and would make blankets for her family to keep. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys and OSU fan. She loved watching her Nascar and riding on the back of her husband’s motorcycle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Allen Parker and Betty Jo (Brown) Parker, husband, Donnie Norris, brother, Billy Joe Parker, grandson, Lance Corporal Keneth Michael Pickens.
Nora is survived by her husband of 13 years, William Houldson II, daughter, Chrystie Phillips, five stepchildren, Shelly Boyd, Kelly Norris, Miranda Houldson, William Houldson III, and Marissa Houldson. Ten grandchildren; Cody Shelton, Devon Phillips, Tanner Phillips, David Patrick, Allen Phillips, Tyler Shelton, Alexander Christie, Kimberly Napp, Brittany Ryburn, and Dredyn Goodfellow. Six Great-grandchildren, two brothers, Curtis Parker and wife, Karon and George Parker and wife, Donna; one sister, Susan Parker and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, April 17, 2023 at Griffin ~ Hillcrest.
