Karen "Ann" Mendoza, age 70, passed away on July 17, 2023, in Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, July 21, 2023, in The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest with private interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Ann was born on February 13, 1953 to Floyd Daniel and Frances Aline Johnson. Ann lived in Gainesville, Texas, she was a certified nurse aid, and worked at Denton State school for 10 years, and loved helping people. She loved planting flowers and gardening; playing dominoes and singing karaoke with her friends in the nursing home.
She was preceded in death: Husband, Juan Mendoza, Mother and Father, Brother, Floyd "Dan" Johnson and Sister Carolyn "Sue" Hancock.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse Sanchez, brother, Joe Johnson, sisters, Linda Thompson and LaDonna Bass of Ardmore, daughter, Felicia Hiracheta and husband Adam, of Louisville, Kentucky. Two grandsons; Christopher and Donovan Ruiz-Hiracheta, great-grandchildren; Alessandro Ruiz-Hiracheta, Alena Ruiz-Hiracheta and Sylas Ruiz-Hiracheta and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
