Obituary of Jessie Johnny Smith

Jessie Johnny “lil man” Smith, III, age 54, traded this life for eternal rest with the Heavenly Father on July 19, 2023, in Norman, Okla. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 28, 2023, in The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home. Jessie was born in Monroe, Louisiana on January 15, 1969 to Patricia Ann Flenaugh and Jessie James Smith II. He attended Sterlington High School and was educated through the Louisiana school system. He met and married Pamela Louise Smith and from this union one child was born, Kyreesha Smith, he then legally separated from Pamela and moved to Oklahoma with his babygirl. At the end of 2006 and beginning of 2007 he met Victoria and from this union four children were born in the fifteen years they were together. One child preceded him in death in 2013. On April 11, 2022, he met his fiancé, Earnesdean, whom he was with last until God called him home. Jessie loved cooking, fishing, driving, working hard and spending time with his family and friends. He worked at the Huddlehouse, where he was a cook. He was also employed at dollar tree warehouse and Michelin where he worked until he physically wasn’t able to anymore. He was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia Ann Flenaugh and Jessie James Smith II, children; Johntav’on De’Juan Smith and Baby Smith, step-dad, Huey Bowman II and sister, Latrisha Renea Bowman. He leaves to cherish his memories his twelve children, Kyreesha Smith, Jessie Smith V, Patricia Smith, Janiyah Smith, Octavia Brown, Jessica Brown, Takisha Cardwell, Jessie Cardwell IV, Shalanda Bowman, Marilyn Cardwell, Lacresha Outley, and Nicole Brooks, fiancé, Earnesdean Foster, his loving step-sons; Jesse, Frank, Ezekiel, and DJ. He also leaves to cherish his memories the five mothers of his children, twenty-two grandchildren, his loving siblings; Charlotte (Buki) Roberts and Huey Bowman, III, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Mickel Roberts, Jessie Smith V, Jessie Cardwell IV, Huey Bowman III, Ezekiel Foster and Jerome Spearman. We love you Jessie, fly high!
