Obituary of Linda Gayle Edwards

Linda Gayle Edwards, age 74, passed away on September 4, 2023, in Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, September 8, 2023, in The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home with The Reverend George Lynn Harris officiating. Interment to follow in Lone Cedar Cemetery in Greasy Bend, Okla. Linda was born on October 5, 1948, at Ardmore, Okla., to GC Edwards and Dorothy Marie (Tynes) Edwards. She attended School in Lindsey CA., San Franciso CA., and Little Rock, AR and continued her education after the family moved to Ardmore with home schooling. When she returned from school, she became the secretary for Sunshine Industries. She enjoyed reading Braille and loved animals. She was a member of The First Church of The Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandparent’s, brothers, Garvis and Terence Edwards, two nephews, Charles Andrew Edwards, and Michael Brian Edwards, and one niece, Dorothy Jean Eads. Linda is survived by her sisters, Maria Henson and husband Harold, and Becky Eads and husband Wayne, and three brothers, Gary Edwards and wife Devona, Curtis Edwards and wife Tammy, and Jeff Edwards and wife Cristy and a host of family and friends. Pallbearers will be Wanda Henson, Sheldon Edwards, Tobby Edwards, Cory Henson, Zane Henson, Garrett Edwards, and Cameron Edwards.
