Big Rod or Papa as we loved to call him has been a special part of our family. When my brother married my sister-in-law Kelley, we became a part of the family of Martha and Rod, as well as, they became a member of ours. Not a lot of people can say that about in laws. Martha and Rod are some of the nicest, loving people I’ve met. My kids and I have many wonderful memories at Mrs. Martha and Big Rods house. A lot of laughs, and good times. I thought being present when Mrs. Martha passed was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but now losing Papa is just as hard. Loved his stories, his accent, his kindness and especially his laugh. Rest in peace Papa and have a party with Mrs. Martha and my Mom and Dad too. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. ~Amen~
