Obituary of Helen (Willis) Collins

Helen (Willis) Collins, age 78, went to be with The Lord on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at Paris, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore, Okla. Services under the direction Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home of Ardmore, Okla. Helen was born on December 26, 1945, to R.T. Willis and Loretta Margie (Stidham) Willis in Ardmore, Okla. Helen married Gary Dave Collins on January 1, 1963, at Gainesville, Texas. Helen was a loving and giving woman. Her love of politics prompted her work on Ron Paul’s campaign team. She was actively involved in City Council. Helen’s loving ways carried her and her husband, Gary, into fostering many children who found their way into loving adopting families. She donated her time to the Battered Women’s Shelter and she was a Boy Scout Den Leader. She had a long nursing career which she enjoyed until her retirement. She was actively involved in volunteering with the County Sheriff Department. . She was preceded in death in 2010 by her husband, Gary, daughter, Terry Collins, and granddaughter, Brittany Collins-Noland. Helen is survived by three children: Tracey Collins Rangell, Teresa Noland and husband, Mike, Gary Dave Collins, Jr. and his wife, Michelle. Numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
