Please share a memory of Mandie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mandie Lin Groene-Clanton, aged 48, passed away on August 27th, 2024 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. In honor of her wishes, her family will not be holding services at this time. All other services under the care of Griffin-Hillcrest Funeral Home.
Mandie was born in Fort Collins, Colorado to Paul Williams and Janice (Jan) Pembrook on Friday November 21, 1975. Shortly after she was born, Mandie and her family moved frequently, ultimately settling in northwest Oklahoma.
In 1995, Mandie had her first daughter, Sadie "Mercy" Williams. In 2001, Mandie met Leroy Groene and they were married a short time later, welcoming a daughter in 2002, Mandalin "Dannie" Groene. After her late husband’s passing, Mandie met Charlie Clanton in 2018 and they married in 2019.
Mandie was the hardest worker you would ever know. She started her career in distribution and fulfillment at Advance Foods in Enid, Oklahoma where she was the proud author and creator of many SOP's. She later moved on to work for Best Buy and Dollar General distribution centers in Ardmore, OK. She lived life to the fullest. She wasn’t the life of the party, she was the party and she loved to laugh. Her infectious laughter and wit will be dearly missed.
Mandie loved to travel with her husband Charlie, read romance novels, watch her shows, play with her grandbabies, spend time with her family, camp at the lake, and spoil her beloved dog Chunk and cat Fatty.
Mandie is preceded in death by her late husband, Leroy Groene Jr., her beloved mother, Janice Pembrook, and her birth father Paul Williams.
Mandie is survived by her husband Charlie Clanton and her fur children Chunk and Fatty. Daughters: Sadie "Mercy" and husband Mark Black; Mandalin "Dannie" Groene and boyfriend Khaliph Green. Sisters: Kimberly Gambill, Randie Eisele, and Susie Pembrook. 4 grandchildren: Elliana Spady, Tyler Spady, Sara Black, and Zameer Green: nieces and nephews Cadence Pugh, Carly Barnes, Billy Barnes Jr, Elijah Feygin, and Robert Williams; her aunts and closest friends Sadie "Jane" Carr, and Brenda Pembrook-Johnson, extended family, a whole host of friends who became family, and coworkers who will all miss her dearly.
We love you mom, the world will never be the same without you.
