Rita Lynette (Postoak) Sykes passed away at the age of 55 in Oklahoma City, Okla. on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Graveside services at will be at I Hunta Pickens Family Cemetery in Marshall County on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM with the Reverend Lucy Durant to officiate.
Rita was born on August 23, 1969 in Ardmore Okla. to John Postoak and Mary Jane (Underwood) Postoak. She attended Ardmore City Schools. Rita was a home maker and loved her family very much and considered each one of her grandchildren as jewels. She devoted her life to her grandchildren and would like to help care for them any way she could. She will be remembered as the life of the party.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Stephen Dale Postoak.
Rita is survived by three daughters; Ariel Amaray Sykes, Lindsay Lauren Sykes, and Elisha Railin Sykes. Her family jewels: Gracey Makayla Sykes, Shaylin Rose Sykes, Keira Amalia “Oliver” Sykes, Jazzlyn Jacobi “Coco” Sykes, Natania JaidaBella “Notnee” Sykes, and Everlyn Valee “EV” Brown. Brother, Gregory Ken Postoak, sister, Denise Taylor and husband Barry.
The casket bearers will be Ken Postoak, Barry Taylor, Jacob Riley Postoak, John Ross Thompson, Buck Underwood, and Zachary Postoak.
Visitation will be 6:00pm to 8:00pm Monday, September 23, 2024 in the Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest FH.
