Cheryl Sherman, beloved wife, mother, Mimi, daughter, and sister, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024 at the age of 49. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 3, 2025, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest. Interment will follow services at 2:00 pm, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Ada, Okla.
A woman of remarkable strength, Cheryl was known for her boundless love and her deep compassion. Her unwavering kindness touched the lives of everyone she encountered, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
As a wife, Cheryl was a devoted partner, offering her love and support unconditionally. As a mother, she gave everything to nurture and guide her daughter Abi along with all her other children with patience, wisdom, and endless affection. Her role as a Mimi was cherished, as she lovingly embraced her grandchildren, showering them with the same warmth and devotion she gave to her family throughout her life.
Cheryl’s strength was matched only by her generosity of spirit. She faced life’s challenges with grace and resilience, always putting others before herself. A loving daughter and sister, she remained a constant source of support and love for her family, demonstrating what it truly meant to care for those you hold dear.
Her beauty, both inside and out, will forever be remembered, and her legacy of unconditional love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Cheryl’s presence in this world will be deeply missed, but her love and the lessons she imparted will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends for years to come.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Loretta Ruth Stuckey.
Cheryl is survived by her daughter, Abi, husband, Jon, and other children, Amber of Reno, NV, Ashlee and husband Kevin, of Nenana, Alaska, Tricia and husband Marshal of Pryor, Okla., Elaine and husband Jordan of Ada, Okla., Nikk of Ada, Okla., and thirteen grandchildren, Brooklyn, Shaylee, Marcus, Esther, Rueben, Lydia, Emery, Andrew, Reagan, Rachel, Jacinth, Revan, and Jensen, sister, Melissia Jackson of Ardmore, Okla., and brother, Tommy Jackson, of Springer, Okla., along with numerous nieces, nephews and all other family.
Pallbearers will be Jon Sherman, Nikk Sherman, Jordan Brown, Marshal Stricklen, Alfred Ramirez, and Jesse Pacheco. Honorary pallbearers will be Marcus Sherman, Reuban Sherman, Andrew Brown, Jensen Brown, and Jacinth Stricklen.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home.
